Makeup Challenge Day 6: Emerald Eyes

Sometimes a little color goes a long way. Emerald green is such a flattering shade on brown skin tones. I took a green kohl liner and rimmed my bottom lashes as well as the outer corners of my lids. It gave me a lovely soft look, with a little surprise ;) This is an easy way to transition your 9-5 makeup straight into happy hour ;)

Time: 18 minutes

Tools: Rimmel London soft kohl liner pencil in “(035) Green Shimmer” (below), Cargo Blu_Ray powder foundation, NARS Dolce Vita Blush, Revlon Mineral Bronzer in Sunkiss, Cover FX concealer, Cover Girl Lash Blast Mascara, Revlon lipstick in “Soft Nude,” MAC creme sheen lipgloss in “Boybait”.

Makeup Challenge Day 5: Copper Pigments

It’s so funny, that I chose to go with a very pigmented copper shadow on my lids. I used to wear colored eyeshadows all the time back in the day ;) Now I’m so used to keeping it simple with my favorite bronzer and blush and jazz things up with dramatic lashes or a dramatic lip, that I almost forgot what it was like to wear colors on my lids! lol I had to get used to it all day lol

Time: 25 minutes (maybe longer because I was moving slow lol)

Tools: Cover FX concealer, Cargo Blu_ray pressed powder, NARS Orgasm blush, NYX copper pigment shadow, Maybelline liquid liner, Mod half lashes, Benefit peach lip gloss, MAC seashell highlighter, Bare Minerals bronze eyeshadow

Makeup Challenge Day 4: Black Out

Last night I was out on the town celebrating my girlfriends birthday and decided to go with a subtle sexy smokey eye. I chose a pair of dramatic baby doll lashes to compliment my smokey eye and loved the end results!

Time: 35 minutes

Tools: Cover FX Concealer, MAC Mineralize Skinfinish foundation, Bobbi Brown bronzer, NARS Orgasm blush, Revlon Mineral Baked Bronzer, MAC eyeshadow in Carbon, Naked Palette, Bobbi Brown Tortoise Shell Palette, Forever 21 babydoll lashes, Revlon Soft Nude lipstick, MAC cremesheen gloss in Boy Bait.

Makeup Challenge Day 3: Va Va Vamp

I can’t remember the last time my hair was straight! lol But for anyone who may have been wondering what it looked like sans fro … here ya go!

Today I went for a va va vamp look. I have fallen IN LOVE with a dark plum lip … it feels so sexy, mysterious, and powerful ;) (the key is to take your time & make sure it’s perfect, dark lip colors easily show mistakes.)

Time: 25 minutes

Tools: MAC mineralizer skin finish foundation, Cover FX concealer, MAC blush in “Gleeful”, Revlon baked bronzer, Bobbi Brown bronzer, MAC lip pencil in “Vino”, Wet & Wild Lipstick #919B, Smoke & Mirrors Beauty “New York” lashes (I’ve talked about them before HERE and HERE.)

Makeup Challenge Day 2: Sassy Red Lip

Today I went for a sassy red lip in one of my favorite red shades listed below. I never make time to do any kind of sassy eye, so I went for a slightly dramatic (as dramatic as it could get for work) winged out cat eye.

Time: 20 minutes

Tools: MAC Mineralize Skinfinish foundation, MAC studio fix concealor, Maybelline Gel Liner, NARS orgasm blush, Revlon mineral baked bronzer, Lamik Celebrity Brow Kit, NYX Red lip liner, MAC Russian Red lipstick.

Makeup Challenge Day 1: Natural & Bronzy

I love a clean, bronzy look! Today I went for something simple and sculpted, with a little glow ;)

Time: 15 minutes

Tools: MAC mineralize skinfinish foundation, MAC studio fix concealor, NARS “Dolce Vita” blush, Revlon mineral baked bronzer, Naked Palette “naked” & “buck” shadow, Lamik Celebrity Brow Kit, L’Oreal Intense eye liner, Cover Girl lash blast mascara, Revlon “soft nude” lipstick, MAC “Boybait” creme sheen gloss

7 Day Makeup Challenge

2012 is my CHALLENGE YEAR! I’ve already claimed it :) I will be challenging myself to all kinds of new things and will share them with you along the way.

First up, the 7 Day Makeup Challenge:

During my 7 Day Makeup Challenge, I’ll be making an effort to try 7 completely different looks throughout the course of the week and share them with you on here. This challenge is meant to make myself put in a little more effort and creativity outside of my everyday makeup routine. It’s so easy to stick with what works for you, but how will you ever know what else looks great on you if you don’t try something new?

Check in every day to see what look I’ll be wearing! Ciao!
